According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall in three days in Karachi was recorded at Faisal Base at 175 mm. 155 mm of rain was recorded in Surjani, 149 mm in Gulshan-e-Hadid, 145 mm in Saddar, 143 mm at Masroor Base, 132 mm at Airport, 110 mm on University Road, 109 mm in Landhi, 91 mm in North Karachi, 89 mm in Kemari and 69 mm in Saadi Town. ۔
It may be recalled that in the last three days in Karachi, there was continuous light and sometimes heavy rain due to which 12 people lost their lives in various accidents. Due to the rain, a large part of the city was without electricity, which made the rain a nuisance instead of a blessing for the people. Due to three days of continuous rain in Shar-e-Quaid, the standing water on various highways has not been drained yet.
On the other hand, 12 villages of Dadu district have been badly affected due to damage to Nai Gaj Dam due to torrential rains. According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR), the dam constructed to prevent flood situation in Nai Gaj Dam due to recent torrential rains has broken, which has severely affected 12 villages in Dadu District.
