ISLAMABAD: Important decisions are expected after the report of the PIA plane crash is submitted. According to the details, the decision has been taken in the light of the alleged fake licenses of one third of the pilots. Strict action will be taken against such pilots. The CAA has been summoned from the lists. It has been decided to immediately ground the pilots with fake licenses till the inquiry is completed.
Falsely licensed pilots have been declared a threat to safety. These pilots are flying in other airlines besides PIA. Air Marshal Arshad Malik has called in teams for legal and flat operations. The cordon around the PIA pilots has been tightened.
It has been decided to lay off 4 pilots of the national airline.
Pilots who have not operated any flight in the last one and a half years have been receiving salaries. It has been revealed that a female pilot has also taken salary from PIA with a job abroad. According to sources, the female pilot went to Turkey with a simulator certificate.
It was further stated that action would also be taken against those who were scheduling pilots.26 The licenses of the two pilots were allegedly declared as fake. Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan will also make a formal announcement at a press conference regarding the investigation against the CAA's regulatory department.
