According to the details, the government has achieved another great success with regard to ML1, which has been declared as the largest and most important project of the country under CPEC. It is reported that China has assured that as many local people and goods as possible will be used during the LM1 project. In this regard, Chinese Travel and DG China Railway had an important meeting with Chairman CPEC Asim Saleem Bajwa recently.
It is reported that the Chinese government has expressed happiness. In this regard, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that Main Line One (ML-1) is a revolutionary project which will not only shape the entire structure of Pakistan Railways, it will also create vast employment opportunities. Talking to state TV, Sheikh Rashid said that ML-1 would be a railway line without any gate which would significantly reduce the travel time between Karachi, Lahore and Lahore-Rawalpindi.
The journey from Lahore to Karachi will be reduced to 7 hours, which will also benefit the traders of both the provinces. He said that this project would also reduce railway accidents and create 1.5 lakh jobs for the people. The Federal Minister said that low rate loan would be obtained for ML-1 project.
