Iran's freedom to acquire arms is a threat to world peace

Leading French figures have called for an extension of arms embargoes on Iran. A group of French ministers, parliamentarians and intellectuals reacted strongly to the lifting of the arms embargo on Iran, giving Tehran the freedom to acquire arms. The French newspaper warned that lifting the arms embargo on Iran would have serious consequences for international security and stability.

Former parliamentarians, ministers and government officials, including Bernard Kazinov and Daniel Cohen-Bandit, have called for renewed sanctions on Iran to secure world peace. There will also be dangerous diplomatic, security and economic implications for the Central and Indo-Pak subcontinent.

He clarified that Iran's freedom to acquire arms would provoke hostility and conflict in the Middle East and lead to a new wave of instability in the region. Tensions in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, which are already in crisis, could escalate further. Yesterday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that those who help and facilitate the supply of weapons to Iran will face US sanctions.
